Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT BHOPAL | VISIT VAN VIHAR NATIONAL PARK

Arrive Bhopal and our representative will transfer you to Hotel. Check into their respective hotel rooms. After a bit of rest and freshening up, you will move towards Van Vihar National Park – a one-of-its-kind Wildlife Park located right in the middle of the city. The banks of Upper Lake combined with the green wilderness of the forest area of the park offers amazing sighting opportunities for bird watchers, wildlife photographers and nature lovers. You will spend the evening cycling inside the park, migratory birds and the various animals that call Van Vihar it’s home. Post this visit, you will return back to hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Bhopal.

 

DAY 2: UPPER LAKE AND MANAV SANGRAHALAYA

After Breakfast, the day begins with an early morning visit to Upper Lake for kayaking and boating. The lake is one of the most strikingly beautiful facets of Bhopal city and is believed to be one of the largest man-made lakes in India. Moving forward, you will visit The Museum of Man or Manav Sangrahalaya. One of the largest anthropological museums of India, ManavSangrahalaya offers a rainbow view of India’s rich cultural heritage with indoor and open-air exhibits documenting the traditional way of life in the country. After a day well spent exploring the museum, you will return to hotel in the evening for rest and leisure.  Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Bhopal.

 

DAY 3: BHIMBETKA AND BHOJPUR

The itinerary will now take you beyond Bhopal, exploring other parts of the state. The day will begin early after check-out from the hotel. you will board vehicles and move to BhimBetka. The visit to these rock shelters includes a short hike that will take the guests to visit prehistoric cave shelters and rock paintings made by native dwellers of the land. After BheemBetka, you will move further to the Bhojpur Shiva Temple, an ancient eleventh-century unfinished structure housing a massive 18ft tall Shiva-Lingam. The temple along with the humongous cyclopean dam nearby was built by the Parmar King Raja Bhoj who is credited with creating a massive man-made lake in the region in the eleventh century. The upper lake of Bhopal is a diminished remnant of this same lake. After exploring Bhojpur, take a drive to Tawa Dam. The rest of the evening will be spent resting at the hotel.  Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Tawa.

 

DAY 4: TAWA DAM AND BAGRATAWA

The day will begin early as you enjoys being amidst the wilderness of Satpura Tiger Reserve. On the itinerary today is a morning Boat Ride on the Tawa River that will take them through the tiger reserve. After this scintillating experience, you will move further for a short hike to the ruined fort of HoshangShah at BagraTawa. Much of the fort has been reclaimed by Mother Nature and one can see tree roots growing out from the walls of the structure. you will also visit the Colonial Era Bridge and Railway Tunnel nearby. In the evening, you will drive to Pachmarhi and rest. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Pachmarhi.

 

DAY 5: BEE FALL, REECHGARHAND DHOOPGARH VISIT

An active adventurous day exploring the wilderness of Pachmarhi! you will then board vehicles for a visit to Bee Fall. The short trek down will lead you to a cascading waterfall where you can enjoy some time in the water. After spending some time relaxing in the water, you will walk back up and depart for a meal break. By afternoon, you will depart for a short trek through Reech Garh Caves and into the forests of Satpura. The trek will take you to a beautiful viewpoint from where you can witness the true beauty of the biosphere reserve with the impregnable green wilderness of the valley visible below. After the caves, you will depart for a drive to Dhoopgarh, the highest point in central India, known for its spectacular sunset views. Everyone will then return to the Hotel in the evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Pachmarhi.

                                                                                                  

DAY 6: TREKKING, CAVING AND SAFARI AT PANAARPANI

This will be the most active day of all! you will depart early in the morning for a trek into the forest to a natural well that opens into a hidden 200mts cave. Crossing this cave is a memorable adventure – one that will allow you to experience crawling through tight spaces inside the cave to emerge on the other side to a beautiful untouched habitat. During the trek back to base, you will also visit a small rock shelter with ancient rock paintings made by native dwellers of the land centuries ago. In the second half, you will move for a safari drive to Panaarpaniin Satpura Tiger Reserve. This is a relatively new safari route and gives awesome sighting opportunities for wildlife lovers. Return to the Hotel in the evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Pachmarhi.

 

DAY 7: DEPARTURE

You will check out in the morning from their hotel rooms. Post breakfast, you will board vehicles and drive back to Bhopal, reaching by late at night. Return back to your next destination.

  • Satpura National Park including Pachmarhi sightseeing points closed on Wednesday Afternoon. Core Zone monsoon break: From 01 July to 30th September. Afternoon Safari Timings: 3.30 PM to 05:00 PM. All Pachmarhi sightseeing points close by 06:00 PM.
